CLINTON YMCA WEIGHT FACILITY INVESTMENT 2007

The Clinton Family YMCA is making a major investment in improvements and renovations to its weight facility and fitness center with the addition of all new Hammer Strength and LifeFitness free weight equipment.

The YMCA is totally equipping its weight facility with the latest Hammer Strength equipment available to its membership and the general public. The ‘Y’ is adding seventeen new pieces to it free weight area of the fitness center that includes new rubber coated Cemco dumbbells in increments of five pounds ranging from 5 to 100 pounds. Other new pieces include a Hammer Strength Smith machine, Linear Leg Press, Seated Arm Curl, Olympic Incline Bench, Olympic Decline Bench, Olympic Flat Bench and an Olympic heavy-duty Olympic Multi-bench. There is also a new four stack tower with adjustable crossover cables, lat pulldown, triceps pushdown and a seated rowing machine. Other new pieces also include a variety of utility, flat and 75 degree benches.

To compliment all of the new weight equipment pieces the YMCA is providing all new 7 foot Texas Power bars, Olympic Curl bars, and Olympic straight bars and muscle clamp collars and well as all new 45lb, 25lb, 10lb, 5lb and 21/2lb rubber coated weight plates from Iron Grip.

The renovations and improvements are the second phase of a three-phase project for the YMCA. The YMCA recently replaced all of its cardiovascular equipment with all new treadmills, cross trainers, stair climbers and exercise bikes as its first phase in 2005; currently is replacing all of its free weight equipment as its phase two and will replace all of the Cybex variable resistance machines as its third phase projected for late 2007 or early 2008.

The Clinton Family YMCA welcomes visitors to visit and tour the YMCA and try out the new free weight facility or cardiovascular equipment to begin the new year.
